I would think writing this editorial takes a lot of courage for a UAW member in Michigan. He's right but it still takes a lot of courage to write this.
Forced unionism bad for labor, Michigan | The Detroit News
I think it is fair to ask union supporters that if their union is so great, then why to they have to force employees to join their union under the threat of losing their jobs if they refuse to join? If the union is providing a valuable service to employees, they should be knocking down the union's door to join.
But then as John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton so correctly stated: Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.
And as the Washington Examiner notes Union bosses come first for Obama. And it's just tough if the agenda of those union bosses is not in the best interests of those employees whom they are supposed to represent or not in the best interest of our nation as a whole.
Of course we all know what this is all about. Unions, Democrats, liberals, environmental lobbyists, socialists, and the mainstream media are all joined in an unholy alliance to make the US a socialist nation. I say it is unholy because much of it is financed by union dues dollars that are extracted from union members who have no choice in how the money is used. In fact, much of it is extracted by force from union members who are in total disagreement with the way their union dues money is spent to further a political agenda with which they disagree.
