Chevy Dealers' Spat Threatens Kelley Chevrolet Move

I have been wondering why all the dirt has been pushed around at the former Seyfert's Potato Chips property in the southwest quadrant of the I-69 and Lima Road interchange. Now I know. Kelley Chevrolet is planning to relocate there from its historic East State location to satisfy a mandate from GM. Unfortunately that location runs afoul of an antiquated state law as pointed out by the other Chevy dealer in Fort Wayne.

I suspect that Kevin Leininger is correct that somehow GM will broker a deal. But this state law should be repealed. It is another example of how laws are often passed solely to protect existing business to the detriment of competing businesses and to consumers as well.
